About the Role

Buildonix® is seeking a Factory Production Technician (Fitter/Turner & Fabrication) to support the production of high-quality building components for the Buildonix® Building System. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role that involves working across all areas of the production process, both independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for an individual with experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminium building components.
  • Operation of CNC routing machines to streamline production.
  • Manufacturing and assembling building components using the Buildonix® methodology (on-site training provided).
  • Occasional on-site construction work for Buildonix® projects (training and certification provided).
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised factory environment.
  • Delivering projects on time and to a high standard of precision.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in metal fabrication, fitting & turning, or related trades.
  • Proficiency with hand tools used in construction and metal fabrication.
  • Strong time management and scheduling abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Systematic approach to tasks and problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working around machinery and meeting production timelines.

Desirable (but not essential) Skills

  • Trade qualifications.
  • Experience in estimation and costings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Understanding of R&D documentation processes.
  • Team or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
